CASA Remote Pilot's Licence (RePL) - Coffs Harbour

The Basics

We're pioneering not 'over complicating' things here at Dronestar. So, let's make it simple.  To gain your Remote Pilot's Licence, you have 2 basic choices. Do you want a limitation on your RePL to aircraft under 7Kg (saves a few dollars), or would you prefer an 'unrestricted RePL' (which we absolutely recommend), that enables you to fly any aircraft for commercial purposes up to. a maximum weight of 25Kg. This is called an 'unrestricted' RePL and is the licence the majority of our pilots will choose.

So, what's involved?
As with all of our courses, we make them modular and logical. We want to offer you the very best experience (of course), but also value. We want to ensure you're paying for what you want - not a whole heap of add ons or 'hidden' items you don't need, understand, or need to understand.

The Remote Pilot's Licence course consists of two components. Theory and Practical.
A minimum of 15 hours live theory, delivered either via live online sessions (or classroom)  over 2 days, regularly scheduled all year 'round each month (and backed up by comprehensive resources in your learner portal once enrolled, including video presentations of each unit, to help you revise any area you're a bit unsure of at any time), and 2 days at one of our many practical venues nationwide where we'll sit the RePL theory exam (and Aeronautical Radio Operator's Certificate (AROC) if enrolled), then start flying. Regardless of experience, our RePL course is designed for students with zero prior aviation knowledge or practical flight experience. A minimum of 5 flight hours will be logged during those days. Simply, enrol now, start your study at your own pace and we'll see you at your preferred live theory sessions. From there, we'll work with you,  and your needs, to make sure you're getting what you need (in terms of learning support) and guide you through.  After theory is done, we can then book your practical flight workshop.

How flexible is the course? Can I add other components?
Absolutely, We find that most want their Remote Pilot's Licence (Multi-Rotor Class), unrestricted. That's the 25KG version. Those that choose that licence generally also choose to add in their CASA Aeronautical Radio Operator's Certificate (AROC). And many want to add in their Remote Operator's Certificate (ReOC) and other regulatory services and approvals. All of which, we can bundle. Just ask.
